  2. Just about anyone could feel let down by this album, especially since the cover is so funny and seems to suggest that an entire album of polka is in the works. That would have been great. The front cover shows Weird Al Yankovic, clad in lederhosen, performing for a bunch of enthusiastic punkers.
  3. "Polka Party", "Good Enough for Now", and "Christmas at Ground Zero" are just plain classic Weird Al. "Polka Party" has Al and his group doing their versions of various and sundry pop tunes. "Good Enough for Now" is a tip of the hat to Country and Western, with a little barb thrown in for good alsupvestraclimodukbestlicenttacta.cos:
  4. Weird Al and The Blues Brothers are definitely the building blocks for my earliest appreciation of music. Polka Party! was the first 'new' Weird Al record that I remember. This was his newest thing and it was being actively promoted unlike the others, which I had just sort of stumbled across in the Jamesway cassette section while looking for.
  5. Jan 01,  · Polka Party is Weird Al's fourth release! It is a great album, and I love it! The name has probably drove some people away, but it is not all Polka. It is just like any other album by Weird Al, and has a mix of parodies and his own songs. I am a big fan of Weird Al's own songs. I like the parodies as well, but his originals are my favorites/5(96).
