Therefore, the “slave” is the end of Christ’s emptying. Who was Jesus a slave to? So much has been explained about what the form of a slave meant to Jesus on earth, but who was he a slave.

9. SLAVE. The original-language words rendered “slave” or “servant” are not limited in their application to persons owned by others.
